Comparison of rehabilitation effects of different community-based rehabilitation modes in patients with stable schizophrenia
【Abstract】 Objective: To explore the effect of home-based rehabilitation, community-based rehabilitation and day institution rehabilitation in patients with stable schizophrenia. Method:200 patients with stable schizophrenia in community were randomly divided into comprehensive group and home group, 100 cases each group.100 patients with schizophrenia were randomly selected in the community day rehabilitation center as the institutional group.The home group received conventional home-based follow-up service and rehabilitation guidance.The comprehensive group took part in the comprehensive intervention service provided by the team members.The institutional group accepted course training and rehabilitation activities provided by community day rehabilitation center.Before intervention and at the 3 rd, 6 th, 9 th and 12 th months of the intervention, the rehabilitation effect was assessed with the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS) and the Social Disability Screening Schedule(SDSS). Results:After intervention, there were significant differences in the PANSS and SDSS scores between the comprehensive group and the home group, the institutional group and the home group(all P<0.05).The PANSS score and SDSS score of the comprehensive group and the institutional group had statistical significance only at the 3 rd month(all P<0.05). Conclusion: Community-based comprehensive rehabilitation and day institutional rehabilitation have a better effect on improving the mental symptoms and social function than home-based rehabilitation alone in the patients with stable schizophrenia, and it has a positive effect on promoting the community schizophrenic patients to return to society.
